For instance, during presidential inauguration, traffic from Cawang will be diverted to Semanggi Roundabout towards Jalan Asia Afrika and Jalan Pakubowono.
The motorist from south heading to Central Jakarta will be diverted to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda then pass through the overpass towards Cawang. While those from south heading to the House of Representatives (DPR) building will be prohibited to turn left at Semanggi Roundabout and directed to go straight to Jalan MH Thamrin. For motorists from north and turn at Semanggi Roundabout towards DPR building will be blocked and directed to go straight to Jalan Sudirman.
Meanwhile, during people’s party, traffic from DPR-Semanggi Roundabout-HI Roundabout will be vacated. Motorists from Semanggi Roundabout will be deflected downward to Dukuh Atas area. In contrast, motorists from the north will be diverted to HI Roundabout to Jalan Sutan Sjahrir.
Moreover, Jalan Majapahit will also be closed. Motorists from the north will be rerouted to Jalan H Juanda or Jalan Suropranoto. And for motorists from Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara towards Sudirman-Thamrin, they will be rerouted to Jalan Majapahit and turn left through Jalan Suryopranoto, Jalan Balikpapan, Jalan Kyai Caringin, Tomang, Jalan S Parman, and so on.
As for motorists from Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara through Sudirman-Thamrin, they will be directed to Jalan Abdul Muis, Jalan KH Mas Mansyur, and so on. Those coming from Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara towards Sudirman-Thamrin will be diverted to Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan KH Hasyim Ashari, Jalan Kyai Tapa, Grogol, and so on.
Next is for motorists from Jalan Abdul Muis towards Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat through the Nasional Museum traffic light, they will be diverted to Jalan Abdul Muis and so on. While for those from Jalan Abdul Muis towards Sudirman-Thamrin, they will be diverted to Jalan Fahrudin and so on. In addition, motorists from Kwitang Senen towards Monas will be directed to Gunung Agung or Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur, Gambir, and so on.
For information, Jalan MH Thamrin towards north and south is also planned to be closed. Motorists will be directed to Jalan Sabang-Kebon Sirih, Tani Monument, and so on.
